Skydance Paramount plans to start mass layoffs the week of 27 October, removing about 2,000 American roles within a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.
The layoffs come after the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized during August worth $8.4bn.

By December 2024, the company had nearly 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 temporary project employees.
